It's part indoor tennis, part badminton...it's a craze that's just beginning to draw out the younger crowd, having appealed to feisty seniors for several years...and it's called...

Pickleball! (I know, stupid name, but the game's great!)

A growing group of seniors, and now their younger counterparts, have become enamoured with this game. It can be played indoors (my personal favorite) or outdoors (the action's considerably slower). And it's easy to learn, fun to play, and appeals to everyone from grade school kids to folks in their 70's.

The rules are simple; you hit a sort of wiffleball with a racket larger than a ping pong paddle, but smaller and lighter weight than a tennis racket.  Just bounce the ball over the net, and keep the volley going!
